Art Institute of Chicago Housing

If you are looking for Art Institute of Chicago off campus housing you have a variety of options depending on your budget as well as what type of building and neighborhood you are hoping for. If you are in need of  apartments near the Art Institute that you can walk to you would need to select a unit either Downtown, the Lakeshore East area or the near South Loop. Parts of each of these neighborhoods are within a mile or two of the school and usually have a good selection of options. Keep in mind that based on the downtown location these Art Institute apartments will all be in both vintage and modern hi rise buildings.

Units suitable as Art Institute apartments for rent can also be found in other neighborhoods that would require a 10-30 minute bus or train commute.  One of these areas the Gold Coast would still be comprised mainly of hi rises and the neighborhood feels a little less like living downtown. Just slightly north the Lincoln Park and Lakeview areas are normally less expensive and provide a community feel with hi rises as well as an abundance of two and three story buildings, quaint shops, restaurants and tree lined side streets.
